Jonathan’s primary goal is finding the best possible fit for the client’s needs. Candidates must not only be qualified for a position, but also be a fit for the company’s culture and mission. Jonathan is a Director of Recruiting that focuses on a variety of roles and industries including development positions at non-profit organizations, sales and sales leadership positions within digital advertising, and account management and leadership positions within Advertising agencies. With over 5 years of experience at Hawthorne Search, Jonathan’s diverse experience has enabled him to have success across different levels and disciplines.
Philosophically, Jonathan believes that a candidate must not only be qualified for a position, but also be a fit for the company’s culture and mission. This is always emphasized with non-profit organizations in terms of the importance of employees believing in the goal they are working toward, but is every bit as important with advertising companies and agencies. This is even truer for development, sales, and account management positions in which an employee is selling or promoting a solution of some type to prospective donor or client. There is no substitute for genuine faith in what an organization is doing throughout the sales or fundraising process. In his tenure at Hawthorne Jonathan has worked on searches nationwide and has a large and varied network of candidates. Some representative searches he works on are:
– Development Directors
– Sales Directors
– Creative Directors
– C-level Positions within Advertising Agencies
Jonathan is committed to recruiting for the long term and is more than happy to speak with or advise a hiring manager or candidate who is looking for the right fit. Don’t hesitate to reach out. Jonathan has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. When he isn’t searching for candidates he enjoys working out, doing yardwork (I know it sounds crazy), and loves spending quality time with his wife Rachel, his beagle Bella, and his cat Felix.
