My client is revolutionizing digital publishing and marketing services. Their products enable readers to experience popular publications in digital format. They bring published content to life wtih video, audio, flash, links, highlighting, search and other interactivity directly to screens around the world. They have 4 million subscribers in most countries with numberous publishers.

As VP of Web Platform Engineering, you will be a key member of the I.T Leadership team responsible for both custom and package engineering efforts. This person will have experience working on B2C/B2B websites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Building and managing a strong engineering team to develop both custom application solutions (J2EE and RIA frameworks) for both reader techology and online ecommerce infrastructure.
*Oversee all engineering for: product development and ecommerce development.
*Responsible for managing an agile/iterative SDLC process.
*Responsible for helping to select and implement technical implmentation for the following:
-eCommerce Platform for an international global ecommerce site build on ATG Dynamo
-Enterprise SEarch on Auonomy IDOL Server
-ESB for Integrations (web services/SOA architecture and messaging hub for payment gateway and ETLs into data warehouse)

REQUIREMENTS:
*Expert knowledge of hand coded Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web Services.
*5+ years experience managing or directing an engineering team working on custom Java and RIa applications as well as ecommerce applications
*Previous experience working with SOA architectures and ESBs
*Experience wtih revision control systems such as CVS or SVN
*Must have strong organizational/multi tasking skills
*Ability to work closely with a larger team within an agile environment(Scrum)
*Must be a team player and a self starter with excellent communication skills
*Bachelor's degree
*Experience working on international ecommerce sites
*Experience working on multi-lingual sites
*Experience working on HTM5 content frameworks.

Agile/iterative using Scrum, Java, SQL , JSP, CSS, XHTML, Subversion, Apache, JBoss, Oracle, SQL Server, ATG Dynamo, etc.
