Description

Responsibilities:
- The VP of corporate rates sales will be part of a team with 8 professionals that provide coverage to our corporate clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to work in direct coordination with the Corporate Relationship Management Officers/Team.
- Strong/Recent experience providing coverage to a portfolio of existing US corporate clients in the products supported under Global Markets including:
- G7 IRS & IRS Options
- Cross Currency Swaps
- Foreign Exchange (G20)
- Latin American FX products & Rates Derivative

Final Clients to be drawn from the target list of some 100+ US Based Corporate Clients covered by the BBVA Corporate team

Qualifications:
- Provide information, trading services and product ideas to our target corporate client base.
- Provide in-depth analysis/ideas to address our corporate client's needs for risk management/hedging of their balance sheet & liquidity needs.
- Achieve sales targets and qualitative client relationships.
- The individual should be able to interact independently with clients and be able offer and discuss appropriate services/products, in order to provide value-added solutions with our target corporate/network client base.
- Communication with the different areas of the group is essential in order to be able to satisfy the needs of clients. Also important are knowledgeable interpretation of research, market trends and recommendations, credit risk as well as the communication to the client of the house views on different subjects.
- The individual should be able to interact with other units and offices within the group, including USA, European and Latam offices.
- Expected team revenues of USD 21 million annually in 2011.
- Appropriate travel and entertainment linked to developing client relationships.
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of Hedging/Liquidity products used for Corporate risk management.
- Knowledge of US corporate client base.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding dealing with US Corporate clients.

Other required skills:
- 5 years providing coverage to US corporate clients with IRS, IRS options & cross currency swaps
- Experience providing hedging/liquidity solutions; strong current experience and contact with US corporate clients
- FASB133 knowledge is a strong plus

- Strong quantitative/analytical skills

- Ability to achieve revenue goals thru client activity
- Language: English is required and Spanish a plus

Management Responsibilities:
- The individual should be able to integrate into the Corporate Sales team.
- The individual should be able to establish and develop client relationships on his/her own and through teamwork with other relevant units/employees.
- The individual should be able to interact with each relevant group within our company to respond to client needs and close transactions
- The individual should be able to set goals, monitor performance and mentor his/her reporting team members.
