We are currently looking for a Social Media Manager who will be based in New York or Morristown, NJ office. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of activity on assigned accounts and will be responsible for guiding clients on how to leverage the emerging media landscape. This person should be energetic and be able to think and work with limited supervision. They will be responsible for the deployment and execution of social and emerging media strategies. This position will report directly into the Managing Director, Media.

Skills:

• Must be able to provide strategic consultation and advise clients on how to engage / leverage all social environments such as: blogs, social networks, online communities, emerging technologies, mobile etc.
• Experience with tools such as Sysomos, Radian6, Traackr etc
• Crisis Management and Investor Relations experience a plus.
• Excellent listening, oral and written skills.
• Must possess ability to work independently, but also keep team briefed on assignments.
• Effective presenter, and comfortable in front of clients.
• PR or Digital Media background is a plus,
• Ability to manage projects, along with internal group development

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-7 years of business experience with at least a couple of years focusing in the area of social media
• Extensive knowledge of social and emerging media platforms. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
• Must be able to think strategically in order to work with clients to improve business
• Effective objective and strategy development skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
