Description
My client is in the digital space and their products and services enable readers to experience popular publications in digital format. Their platform brings published content to life with video, audio, flash, links, highlighting, search and other interactivity directly to screens around the world. They have 4 millions subscribers in most countries with prominent publishers.
As Director of Q/A and Release Management, you will be a key member of the I.T. Leadership team, responsible for coordination and execution of all projects designed to support the commerce and digital content platform strategy across mobile devices, desktop applications as well as the web-based ecommerce and B2B services for digital books and magazines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Lead the operation of the QA team and Release Management function for all product development work being done by the commerce, reader, content and authoring product teams.
*Establish and measure key testing methodologies and metrics for application testing and performance benchmarks on all target platforms.
*Establish positive and collaboroative relationships with customers and demonstrate a clear undersatnding of both internal and external customer requirements and meaasurement criteria.
*Establish effective release management process and deployment schedules to support engineering efforts.
*Lead the hiring, coaching, and evaluation of performance for the QA and RM teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
*10+ years of progressive QA management experience.
*5+ years experience leaading an enterprise QA team within a large enterprise web centric company with complex testing and performance testing criterion.
*Strong multi-project management skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and executing mulitiple high-visibility, large-scale projects through testing to release.
*Comprehensive knowledge of full lifecycle project management, software development, and infrastructure deployment methodologies and industry best practices.
*Experience building collaborative environments, teaming cultures, and customer service mindset among project teams.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels in an organization.
*Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.
