Ben Hudson heads the Engineering & Construction Division. In this role, he leverages his industry knowledge gained through 25 years of leadership roles in both large and small construction management firms.
Ben was an 18-year veteran of KBR, one of the world’s largest construction management firms. At KBR, Ben was responsible for over $1 billion worth of projects from New York to Florida. In his last role as Vice President of the Eastern Region, he led a 250-person team of engineers, architects and project managers. Ben hired and managed employees at all levels from project manager to regional directors. Ben made staff development a priority, believing it his duty to get “the right people on the bus.”
Ben’s roots in construction are deep. He is a third generation builder, who has a college degree in building construction. He was a licensed general contractor at age 20 and has also led and worked with small residential and commercial construction firms.
Today, Ben remains active in the industry as a licensed unlimited general contractor in North Carolina. This allows him to remain sharp on industry advancements and trends such as sustainability and green building.
As he does in construction, Ben brings his clients at Hawthorne Executive Search a high degree of customer service. He personally oversees each step of the process to ensure the highest level of quality and client satisfaction.
Ben is a native of central Florida and a proud graduate of the University of Florida. He is also an amateur inventor, who also enjoys home beer brewing. When not chasing his two young sons, Ben sometimes escapes to the golf course.
